It was celebration of both the rich Urhobo and Igbo culture recently as Prince Peter Emaye of Agbarha kingdom in Ughelli North LGA of Delta state happily tied the nuptial knot with his heartthrob, Miss Juliet Ngozi Ndobu in a grand style.

The holy solemnization which took place on Saturday 25th at the Mender’s House Int’l Church, Ughelli after the performance of traditional marital rites to the bride’s family was graced by family members and friends in large numbers. Immediately after declaring Peter and Juliet as legally wedded husband and wife by the officiating pastor during the matrimonial service before both families and members of the Church, a sumptuous reception was at the end put together for all guests to the wedding ceremony at Wetland Hotel, also in Ughelli, Delta state.

The reception was heavily attended by respected Delta state government officials, chief executive officers of companies and business organizations, social clubs, members of royalties, traditional chiefs, great politicians, friends and business partners, family members and other invited guests. It was really the celebration of love and wealth between the newly wedded couple and the invited guests as many were dolling out crisps of naira notes to the new couple, Prince & Mrs Peter Emaye and also presenting to them different household items.

Speaking to our correspondent during the reception, a man who described himself as a father to the groom, Engr. Solomon Esedafe said,

“I’m a father to the groom and he’s my son in the same family. He’s not a far person to me. This is why I’m deeply committed in the organization of this wedding and to also see to the end of it with success stories. Therefore, I’m the most grateful person to see this glorious day coming to reality. I thank all our family members for their support and concern since the beginning of this project. Their co-operation have gone a long way to rake in greater achievements in this wedding ceremony. In the same way, I want to thank every guest here present. Without them, we can’t achieve this success story. Our distinguished personalities that are here with us have truly make this wedding event a peculiar one. I have nothing to offer them than to say, thank you and God bless!”

In his vote of thanks after the thousands of cash donations and household items presented to the couple by the guests, the groom, Prince Peter Emaye who was highly elated expressed joy and appreciations to all friends and invited guests in the occasion. Hear him:

“On behalf of my lovely wife, Mrs. Juliet Ngozi Emaye, I want to express my heartfelt gratitude and deep appreciations to all my guests and friends. It’s today, I really know those that are my true and trusted friends. I’m convinced that we are always together. In the same way, I want to thank all my political fathers and mothers that are here sharing the joyous moment with me and my lovely wife. Many of them are from Asaba. Time won’t permit me now to mention all the names of the great government officials that are here with us today. In the same way, I want to thank all my business partners that are here with us. If I want to mention all of them too, the list would be inexhaustible. I want to specially thank my family members and my in-laws. Their co-operation and support to us in this wedding have really yielded must results. Finally, I want to thank God for everything. If not God, we can’t see what we are seeing today. To God be the glory and honour!”

Amongst the important dignitaries and guests that graced the wedding event were, Her Royal Majesties, the Queens of Ughelli and Agbarha kingdoms, Chief Alfred Alluh, CEO, Amefo Service NG Ltd, Elder John Eyalegin, CEO, Sorume Global Services Ltd, Prof & Mrs Sam Oyovwaire, Hon. Charles Emetulu, Member Delta State House of Asembly, Dr. Paul Okubor, Permanent Secretary, Hospital Management Board, Asaba and Dr. Dave Tojie, MD, General Hospital, Kiagbodo.

Others were Dr. Richard Kofi, Executive Chairman, Ughelli South LGA, Dr. Dave Okpa, Engr. Solomon Esedafe, Hon. Onoriode Agofure, Delta state Honourable Commissioner for Transport, Chief Tony Mayor, Chief Chris Obiuwevwin Ominimini, General Ocean, Bar. Fred Majemite, Amb.
