Chairman of the Association of Nigeria Licensed Customs Agents (ANLCA), Onne Seaport chapter, Chief Ifeanyi Isikaku, has unveiled 2 Mini-buses to cushion the effect of the high cost of transportation on members.

The buses, which were unveiled on September 2, 2025 at the ANLCA Secretariat in Onne, Rivers State, are to convey members from the Federal Ocean Terminal (FOT) to Customs and terminals at the Onne Seaport.

Speaking in an interview with Nigerian MomentumNews Online & Magazine, the Chairman of ANLCA, Onne Seaport chapter, Chief Ifeanyi Isikaku, said the gesture was in fulfillment of his campaign promises to members of the chapter.

He disclosed that the essence of the additional mini-buses was to strengthen the ease of doing business with the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) and as well, cushion the effect of high transportation charges currently being faced by members of ANLCA in the course of carrying out their daily businesses at the port.

The chapter chairman further assured of his continued collaboration with the Nigeria Customs Service, in accordance with the policy thrust of CGC Bashir Adewale Adeniyi, whose leadership style has changed the narrative in the management and activities of the Nigeria Customs Service.

While unveiling the mini-buses, Barr. Raymond Onyimba, Principal Staff Officer (PSO) to the National President of ANLCA, Mr. Emenike Kingsley Nwokeoji; described Chief Ifeanyi Isikaku as a “Political Bulldozer” and a “Politically Good Man.”

He lauded Chief Isikaku for following the foot step of the National President, by fulfilling one of his electioneering campaign promises as quick as possible.

In the same vein, the Public Relations Officer (PRO), of ANLCA, Onne Seaport chapter, Hon. Obinna Nwachukwu, lauded Chief Ifeanyi Isikaku for responding to the logistics need of members, through the unveiling of the 2 Mini-buses.

He maintained that the availability of the buses will reduce the financial burden of transportation on members, and as well, accelerate their movement and daily activities with the Customs and other port operators at Onne Seaport.

Earlier, members of ANLCA that were present at the Secretariat for their monthly meeting, which was presided over by ANLCA Vice Chairman, Onne Seaport chapter, Alhaji Zaka Ahmed, were richly blessed by the presence of Dr. Akan Effenga of Edge Africa, who made a presentation on: “Prostrate And Cervical Cancer.”

Dr. Effenga, who used the medium to educate ANLCA members on the symptoms and dangers of Prostrate and Cervical Cancer, as well as its curative measures, thanked the Exco, members, and Welfare and Sensitisation Committee of ANLCA, Onne Seaport chapter for their invite.

Responding on his advice for people to always eat balanced food, Dr. Effenga, irrespective of the economic situation in the country, urged Nigerians to endeavour to eat balanced food, pointing out that, that same money would still be soured for, when seeking for medical attention.

Speaking in an interview, Chief Solomon Nnamocha, Chairman, Welfare and Sensitisation Committee of ANLCA, Onne Seaport chapter, thanked Chief Ifeanyi Isikaku, whom he described as an “Action Man,” for the commencement of his electoral promises in a grand style.

He equally commended Chief Isikaku for the inauguration of the Welfare and Sensitisation Committee, hence the reason for the visit and presentation of Dr. Akan Effenga, which tends to address the welfare and wellness of all ANLCA members at Onne Seaport.

Chief Nnamocha further used the medium to call on all Chairmen/Chief Executive Officers of Nigeria Licensed Customs Agents, to ensure adequate training and retraining of their staff, for effective service delivery.
